As a congregation of the United Church of Christ, we celebrate our denomination's history of welcome and "firsts" for social justice. We are an Open and Affirming (ONA) congregation.
Christ Church was founded by German immigrants in 1890 as Christ Evangelical Church. The congregation moved to the current site in 1925 and became Christ Church, United Church of Christ, in 1957.
We believe that all people are made in the image of God and that all are welcome at Christ's table. We aspire to be an open-minded community of faith, engaged in meaningful worship, and committed to social justice, community service, and personal spiritual growth.
